File Organization

Essential Question: What are the benefits of well organized files and folders and the consequences of poorly organized files and folders on your computer?

Purpose: In an effort to strengthen your organizations skills, we are going to put in place the folders that we will be using throughout the semester.

Teacher Demonstration:
1. Create a new folder in My Documents called "Computer Technology"
2. Within 'Computer Technology' place two new folders: 'My Digital Life' and 'Profile Pictures'

Student Activity:
1. Spend some time creating an original piece of artwork in Paint.
2. Save your picture in Paint as: "FirstName_LastInitial_MyArtwork"
3. Make sure the file type is .JPG, then close Paint.
4. Please type your response to the essential question in the body of your LoopMail message that names three benefits and three consequences of file organization.
5. Submit your response and attach My Artwork via School Loop.
